COVID-19
26/10/2020 - Following incidents in recent weeks involving incorrect use of the facilities provided by Landau QEMS, clubs, teams and individuals not following the guidance provided by Tamworth Hockey Club and England Hockey will be considered for reporting to England Hockey under their disrepute complaint system. The guidance is there to protect all users of the facilities.
12/09/2020 - Hockey is considered an organised team sport, and with the plans we have in place, we are not affected by the UK law change on 14/09/2020 restricting group sizes.
12/09/2020 - Birmingham, Solihull & Sandwell Local Restrictions - Tamworth is outside of the area affected by the local restrictions planned to be introduced on 15/09/2020. However, organised team sport is allowed to take place inside the restricted area. Any matches scheduled to take place against opponents from these areas can continue as planned.
Following England Hockey's announcement that we can move to step 4 of their "Return To Play" guidance, we have developed the following set of guidance notes for our members and visiting teams.
Please use these notes in association with the England Hockey notes and UK Government guidelines.
- Training Sessions at Landau Forte QEMS (updated 07/09/2020)
- Home matches at Landau Forte QEMS (updated 03/09/2020)
- Visiting teams playing at Landau Forte QEMS (updated 26/10/2020)
- Away matches for Tamworth teams (updated 03/09/2020)
Any Tamworth members taking part in any activity related to Tamworth Hockey Club are required to complete the club "Self Asessment/Activity Register". This MUST BE COMPLETED ON THE DAY of the activity, as it is your declaration that you are free from the symptoms of COVID-19 on the day of the activity.
Before taking part in your first hockey activity you must complete the "England Hockey Participation Agreement".
