Tamworth opened up their trophy competition with travelling to Kettering. After Saturday's performance Tamworth were determined to get a result. From the start the away side were the better team, early in the first half Tamworth created great build up play and were unlucky not to put the ball in the back of the net. The breakthrough came after a well worked short corner & the only goal of the game came from Rachel Rowe. Kettering were reluctant to give up & created there own chances, however non of these saw the back of the net. The away side worked hard until the final whistle & go into the next round against Northampton.
