Tamworth Men's First XI suffered a disappointing 3-1 home defeat versus Nottingham. Tamworth were hoping to get the final points needed to secure safety but fell a goal behind early on when the visitors scored with a deflected penalty corner. Tamworth were not at their best in the first half and fell 3-0 down with further penalty corner strikes for Nottingham.
In the second half Town regrouped and were much improved. Unfortunately they could only manage to claw one goal back with a neat deflected goal by Ben Robins and will need to be much better against table topping Boots next Saturday.
