The result does not reflect the match as a whole, Tamworth played well, held possession for large periods of the game and in the first half had numerous shots on goal but Belpers gk saved shot after shot and on many occasions the defence got a slight touch to take it off the back line or the shots were just wide of the goal. The feeling of frustration told on Tamworth and Belper had a couple of lucky breaks to take a 2-0 lead going into half time. The second half saw Tamworth have majority of play and like the first half shots on goal were many but Belper goalie was outstanding saving a strike going top left hand corner. Tamworth conceded 2 more goals before they were rewarded with a goal from a short corner strike from Gemma Rowe. It was a gritty performance with 100% determination and commitment from the whole team but it was one of them games where it wouldn’t have mattered how many chances we had and we lost count how many we did have none were going in!
