| Match Report | The ladies thirds travelled to Wolverhampton on Saturday coming away with a well deserved draw. Tamworth made a disappointing start to the game and found themselves 2-0 down in the opening 15minutes. The town side regrouped and got themselves organised and started to get a foothold in the game. Nadia Williams made some good runs down the flanks and midway through the half Tamworth pulled a goal back, Claire Miles started the move with a defence splitting pass to Williams who put in a super cross to Di Miller to set up Jess Thacker to score. The town side went close to an equaliser on a couple of occasions but went into the break 2-1 down. Tamworth played much better in the second half, but we're also thankful to GK Lisa Moore who some excellent saves. A number of chances went begging for the town side before Nadia Williams equalised when she followed up a Claire Miles short corner strike that hit the post to give Tamworth a share of the spoils. |
