| Match Report | Tamworth started strong with some neat play around the back four. They kept control of the ball nicely and played it forward. A few chances were unfortunately missed and the teams entered half time at 0-0. Following on from half time. The opposition scored 2 in succession. However Tamworth fought back with some strong play from midfielders Andy McManus and Ian Wagstaff leading to a brilliant chip goal from Chris Lomas bringing the score to 2-1. Despite Tamworths best efforts, and a selection of fantastic Ariels from Ian Wagstaff, a 2nd goal was unable to be converted. The game ended 2-1 after a hard fought battle between Tamworth and North Staffs.
